It was a political move. It was the right political move, but not "morally" right. Gher Send a noteboard - 12/01/2010 08:03:27 PM
Either the Rebels were wrong to oppose Elaida, in which case Egwene should have abdicated her rebel throne and taken the punisment/demotion to novice, or they were right, in which case why should they be chastised by the very person that kept them from slinking back to Elaida?

It was completely a political move. She did it as a way to strengthen her political control. I'm not saying it wasn't a smart move on her part, but she's lucky they all have a guilty conscience, because that seems like a good way to have a spitefull Hall take her to task.

But it is the best way to have the two factions integrate.

I'm not an Egwene hater either. She's a good person, who truly thinks that the White Tower under her leadership is the best thing for Tarmon Gaidon. I don't think she's gaining power simply to have power, but to direct it against evil.

Reasonable in terms of power politics, but still somewhat deceitful. - 12/01/2010 07:06:33 PM 623 Views
I'm not sure deceitful is the right word for the circumstances - 12/01/2010 07:10:57 PM 657 Views
