how many links in just a chainmail shirt? 1000-1500? Takes what a minute for each link? Could take as long as 30-hours for each shirt, just in conversion to cuendillar time! Most channelers become exhausted after only about an hour or so of continual Channeling ... so we're talking as much as a 10-day week of a channeler doing little else to produce 1 mail shirt? Doesn't seem like a good allocation of time when that same Channeler could be out in the field helping move the army or Healing the wounded etc...

And what if they screw up even a little? scrap heap.

Lets brainstorm, eh? What different kinds of armors have we seen in our own history? hmmm... damn... the only one i can think of is chainmail! I dont have a creative bone in me! damn damn damn

they came up with the steam engine, and telescopes ... and that's about it.
