You'll notice that Cadsuane laughed away Osan'gar's weave too. I don't think channelers get affected.
Do you think so? I wonder why Osan'gar would try then. Surely he knew that Cadsuane could channel.
Rand seemed to be affected by the weave, or at least felt the sensations... even if Cadsuane didn't react to it in the intended way doesn't mean she wasn't affected by it.
I think it's probably closer to the trick of ignoring the heat/cold.
