The "Song" is an example of RJ's, showing how myth is created.
Aiel used to be able to sing magical songs, interacting with the earth to grow special grain and the like.
In the modern age, this has translated into Ogier treesingers, and Tinkers aimlessly wandering around looking for the special "Song" that will solve all their problems.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Tinkers have a minor part to play, possibly by taking in refugees, or even starting a town (!), but there will be no Charge of the Tinkers with there Magical Song of Love.
Perhaps the Last Battle will cause Tinkers to take up arms, since the battle for creation is the only battle worth sullying their spirits over... but I doubt it.

I amuse myself.

Tinkers don't really represent Order, since they are nonviolent.
