Interesting parallel; I wonder if Rand will start forgetting things now, but slowly like Birgitte is. Once he realises that he is losing his memory of his past lives, he will race to TG before the memories go completely.
I always thought that the reason Birgitte was losing her memories might simply be that there were too many of them for her physical brain to handle. Unlike Rand who was in "limbo" for 3000 years, Birgitte has been reborn a lot of times between AoL and now. Too many memories perhaps.
Then again, they are in fairly different situations, so perhaps Rand's memories will stay. I highly doubt they will all vanish entirely straight away.
I rather hope not. I liked LTT, and thought it was rather cool to see Rand talk about AoL stuff and all. My personal wish is that Rand will now remember pretty much everything from LTT, and act accordingly.
