Beside, who really wants a bunch of losers like the Forsaken to win?

The suprise/shock would seem to work at first, then 90% of readers would throw the book away in frustration and never reread WOT again. What would be the point, reading thousands and thousands of pages about people that end up losing and storylines that get abruptly ended by the world's complete destruction?

That would please no one except bashers who might actually enjoy Jordan destroying his series at the end.
