Whether Semirhage caused Rand to strangle Min or not, he's still the one that did it; therefore unless Rand was BF'd out of existence, those bruises are not going anywhere
Bruises that wouldn't have been there except for Semirhage's direct order per the male adam ....
This brings up a very intersting point. So we know that balefire burns out of the pattern the actions of the person who was hit. Is it limited to just this? (I'm guessing no). What about the actions taken by another as a result of the actions of the one killed? Are those erased as well?
What if Elza had a maid start some tea just a moment before Rand balefired her (and she went immediately to do so for the Aes Sedai)? Once she was killed, would the water for the tea still be heating up?
Isn't this the big danger of balefire? Not only are the actions of the person burned out, but the consequences of their actions and so on. The pattern could accept relatively decent amounts of balefire...however on such a grand scale, it threatened the pattern itself. Hence why even the Shadow feared using it.
