My theory was primarily based on the fact that it took Elayne and Co quite a bit of time (at least 2 hrs plus) to ride to the farm, quell the panic, get the circle together and use the BotW. It was AFTER the BotW was used that the Seanchan appeared. Meanwhile, back in Ebou Dar, Mat has been searching for Olver for less than an hour before the Seanchan appear. BIG time difference.
