She has too much of a hold over Rand's psyche - if anything, Moiraine's presence might make it easier for Rand and Cadsuane to deal with each other on a level playing field.
BTW I don't have a problem with Cadsuane, really. She seemed to be a "deus ex machina" at first but the last few books have really humanized her, since we saw her inner reactions at confronting an increasingly insane Rand.
