Something to remember is that Rand really misses Moiraine and while she was never his close friend they were getting close at the end. He respects Cadsuane to a degree but I don't think he likes her.
If it came down to a choise especially with a more balanced Rand I don't think he would let Cadsuane say a single bad word about Moiraine, not if she wants to be on the same continent as him. It might be something like "Moiraine is my AS advisor Cadsuane and if you don't like that don't let the door hit you on the way out."
