OK it's not totally impossible right? I mean Mat and co. is going to rescue Moiraine, she will rush to Rand, Cadsuane sticks by Rand.... its bound to happen

I would love that confrontation...

I think Cadsuane would win over moiraine in pure willpower hands down. But Moiraine somehow seems to have a more well balanced head on her shoulders, and she is really good at manipulation even when no one has the amount of respect for her that Cadsuane commands from everyone. So all in all I think Moiraine would win in the end.

In New Spring, Moiraine only gave Cadsuane the appearance of complying with her orders. She did leave in the middle of the night, but only after she made sure to stay long enough until Cadsuane checked her room that night. IIRC, Cadsuane had threatened to do some bad thing to her if she ever left.

I expect to see another showdown, bringing the story full-circle.

Now another confrontation I would love is Egwene vs. Moiraine.

No telling who would win that one....

Moiraine would eat Egwene on a Pop Tart. Mostly because she'd have a hard time telling the difference between the two.
