When Semirhage couldn't make it to some of the tea parties, it was thought in a Forsaken POV that making a gateway to and from a moving point was difficult, and it was even more difficult when surrounded by channelers.

Logain basically accomplished something that was difficult even in the A.O.L.


If she disappeared from a ship and then reappeared, it would raise a lot of questions.

Plus, Logain was within line of sight of a ship sitting at anchor in a harbor, and Semi would have had to leave a ship that was crossing an ocean and then come back to it.

So while I agree that Logain's gateway was pretty cool and skillfull, it's not a direct comparison to Semi.
