Why should we trust what Tam says!! He could swear all he wants, it's just words. Untill we get a POV of someone who saw it happen thinking about Kari actually being dead then it has to be taken that she is still active.

How do we know that anyone is dead? Just because it's possible that Tam is lying, doesn't mean it's probable or worthy of consideration.
We never saw Tigraine's body, maybe she's still alive! Or Lan's parents. Or Artur Hawking! Or the other bazillion people who died since the War of Shadow in the AoL.
People from the AOL who weren't shielded from the turning of the wheel are long dead. It would make no sense for them to be alive. Besides kari althor ha actually played a part in the story. And would only be in her forties if alive today.
Greandal is alive. As is lanfear.
