While anything is technically possible, there is simply not enough basis to argue that Graendal survived. Both the events of the book and the manner in which it was written very strongly imply that Graendal is Toast.
i dont agree. i dont think i am going out on a long limb here.
think of Rand's state of mind while planning/executing. Definitely not cool headed. Definitely hasty.
moreover, Rand may have just been manipulated by the baddies up to this point--the baddies' plan may have also considered/anticipated/intended to influence Rand's actions
I dont think i'm bringing up outlanding thoughts--
i think i originally brought up actual circumstances which reveal that the plan was flawed. the flaws under the circumstances are significant enough to really cause doubt as to whether Graendal died.
