also now that he has one hand shouldnt he just fake it and make the firey sword so he doesnt have to relearn sword fighting? i mean the fire sword doesnt weigh anything right? so technically he can pretend he has a hand and only use one hand to hold the hilt but still use the rest of his body to go through the motions, of which i might add, he is a master already.


The thing is, if he is in a position that allows him to channel, he would be an idiot to waste time with something silly like waving a firey sword around. Given his strength and skill with OP, he could instantly annihilate the enemy with something like Arrows of Fire or maybe just slicing them to pieces with weaves of air. Or he could just blow them to bits with Blossoms of Fire/fireballs.

At this point in the series, the only time traditional swordfighting would be even remotely usefull to Rand would be in a situation where he cannot channel. Such as in Far Madding/stedding or if he is shielded or something. And ofcourse in those cases, a weightless OP sword is not available.


good point. but it would be cool if he fights egwene's knight in shining armor and uses the sword
