The series is based around so many limits in terms of character possibilities, cultural acceptance and overall theme that I can't imagine any version of a game being created that would satisfy the fan base, and it is the fan base that would need to purchase the game in order for it to be profitable.
Many Multi User Dungeons based on W.o.T. struggle with this because it's hard to make an entertaining adventure game for player characters if they have to compete for screen time with the story's protagonists.
They would need to think about the historical placement, whether Rand and Co. would be in the games' story, and how much of the world would need to be altered to make it interactive.
