... first, I'd have to say that given that Gateways are created with the One Power, and require a substantial amount of it to boot, I don't understand how this would be different than any other means of killing Asmodean via the One Power with regard to being detected by local channelers.
Second, it seems hard to conceive that Asmodean would not notice the Gateway, or only step halfway through.
Third, it seems pretty random from a narrative standpoint. WHat would be the purpose?
