Else was the only novice, who was recently thrown out because of her behavior. That suggests that she was really intolerable and simply didn't have a place anymore in the WT.

Even the rather diplomatic Elayne tells Egwene in the WT that there is "a lazy chit named Else Grinwell. I don't think she will be here long. She shirks her chores, and she is always sneaking off to watch the Warders practice their swords."

If the other novices notice Else exceptional bad behavior as well as her superiors, it's simply consequent to expel her, because you can't expect anymore that she would change (as least if you don't want to force her violently to learn, like sul'dam do with damane).

Besides that, no one says that Else was very strong or able in the OP, so one can't compare her to the Wondergirls, for example. Siuan just tells that Else "could have learned, had she applied herself, but all she wanted was to smile at the men at the
Warders’ practice yard."
