But why do we need this marrige? Is love for each-other not important? Do we really need something more? Is marriage IYHO just a ceremony for the public? Why can't you express your love, and even declasre your love for each other by being true. I think all G-D wants is sex and babies.
Announcing your love and dedication to each other for life publicly verifies it in front of witnesses, and let's them share in your happiness. At one point in human history that meant something. Nowadays, with divorce the way it is.. it doesn't matter whether you share your joy with others or not. There's a 50% chance you won't make it 2 years anyways. So in today's society, no, you're right. But to the few romantics out there.. marriage is a necessary part of love.
