Storm of swords, GRR Martin.
The stand, Stephen King
The gone away world, Nick Harkaway.
A long way down, Nick Hornby.
Dune, Frank Herbert.
The last command, Timothy Zahn.

I may be forgetting something, but I can live with this.


I love The Never-Ending Story. I haven't read it in years, though. Am I right in remembering the second half as not as good as the first?

Also: yay! That's three people now who have Harkaway in top 10. Mission well under way :D
