I love The Never-Ending Story. I haven't read it in years, though. Am I right in remembering the second half as not as good as the first?


It's one of the few books I reread somewhat regularly.
I find the second half has a little more to offer after several readings, it's a lot more complex while the storyline of the first is rather straight. It would be impossible for me to decide between the two. Unlike the 80s film that ended after the first half suggested, they should not be separated.

Have you seen the second 80s film? It is very very bad.

But I felt the book divided somewhat naturally into two parts. The feeling of the narrative changed, if you know what I mean. But as I said, I haven't read it in over 10 years. May 15.
