Snooty intellectual types are forever bringing up Ulysses. I, for all of the wrong reasons, thought I'd take a look to see what the fuss was about. Now, having heard of it as a difficult read, I wisely? decided to try the aforementioned works to get a feel for his style and maybe get in the right gear. After doing so, I concluded that Joyce wrote for his peers, meaning intellectual, expatriate Micks who also happen to be Catholic apostates. In other words, he had absolutely nothing to say to me.
