The twist wasn't as hard to spot this time, with all of the indications of Ginny's involvement, but the revelation that Riddle was indeed a form of Voldemort was a good precursor to all of the safe guards he put in place to keep himself from actually dying in the later books. Specifically Half Blood Prince.

I love the scene where Lockhart blasts himself with Ron's wand, collapsing the whole ceiling, and forgetting everything. Ron's reaction to the annoyance of Lockhart is priceless too. Ironic that the one thing Lockhart says he CAN do, backfires so badly.

I know no one likes reading Dobby (dialogue wise), but this is one of his redeeming scenes to me. He directly fights Death Eaters twice on Harry's behalf. Blasting Lucious in this scene and then again with Bellatrix in Deathly Hallows. It’s remarkable how fast he recovers from being freed to protect Harry when he needs it. While it’s still annoying to read his dialogue in future books, his upcoming scenes with Harry are a little easier for me, given the great personal risks Dobby has taken to protect Harry.
