About those shards... Jacob Send a noteboard - 05/09/2010 07:54:58 PM
I LOVE this book! I'm behind the pace I was hoping to set (my wife hates that I've quit being social anyway), but I'm loving every page. My favorite character so far is Kal. I knew he wasn't going to jump down the Honor Chasm when that scene came up, but I still got a huge grin on my face and said, "Shit's gonna hit the fan!" when he walked away. I'm really liking Syl too. Not sure what's up with her, but I'm really interested in finding out. I wasn't digging Dalinar too much until we got to see his vision during a Storm. Now I'm hoping to see more of what happen with that. Are these Shards all from Adonalsium or are they just a reaction (I'm at a loss for the right word) of said Shards of Adonalsium? Will say more after I read further.

As far as I've been able to gather, the shard blades/armor are not each "a Shard", but are made possible because the existance of Shard(s) in the world. So they are a circumstance, I think.
