I was blown away by Under Heaven, a very good book, one of the best I've ever read. That being said The Lions of Al-Rassan was nearly as good. It's been so long since I've read Tigana...but it was also superb as I recall.

Some of his books share the same world, but you need not be concerned with reading anything out of order.
