I guess I should not have voted for Tom Camilla Send a noteboard - 10/09/2010 03:38:15 PM
The (lack of) interest in our inaugural RAFO Awards has been, I must say, a little disappointing, resulting in rather few votes and some winners that not everyone will be happy with (including the one for best review ). But then, you know what to do to prevent that from happening next time! Besides, awards are boring if everyone agrees about who the winner should be, yes? The admins did not vote, by the way, just to be clear, though perhaps next time we should.

Why didn't you vote?

Without any further ado, then, the winners of our RAFO Awards:

Book Awards:

Book of the RAFO Year

Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson - The Gathering Storm.

Not a surprise, just very, very sad.

Best Fantasy

Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson - The Gathering Storm.

Yeah.

Best Other Literature

A.S. Byatt - The Children's Book.

Excellent.

Best Non-Fiction

Umberto Eco - The Infinity of Lists.

Again, I like this.

Best Author Blog

Stephen Fry

He IS lovely.

Most Anticipated Book

Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson - A Memory of Light.

*sigh*

Best book review

Legolas' Twilight review.

It's not the first time I've disagreed with the majority.

Camilla

and

Tom

(ex-aequo)
