I've never read any of it, but I will say this:

conflating homosexuality and bisexuality with incest is problematic.

I don't think I was lumping them together in any way, though. It's only problematic if you're an a-hole. (Man, we have a different vocab. I think this is the first time I saw the word "conflate" ).

How is it only problematic if you are an a-hole?

It's problematic if you lump gays together with people who are incestuous. If you do, you have a problem. And are an a-hole.

...
Yes. That is what I said. Then you say, but it is only problematic if you are an a-hole. Which suggests that there is some way of doing it without being an a-hole. And please stop making me write a-hole. It is killing me.

Also, once you get to shared great-grandfathers most people will not think twice. I think.

The quote makes it plain that most supernatural beings are more lenient towards incest than those who aren't supernatural. That's odd, because there's no explanation why it should be so.

Hmm. Perhaps they cannot breed? I have no idea how things work in that world.

Breeding's no problem.

And I am a prude. Really.

And I'm fine with that.

The rest I cannot really comment on, having neither read the books nor seen the series (I assume this is the foundation for the True Blood series?).

Yeah, it is.
