Man. . . That voice? Yeah. He should be reading me stories every night. (beat.) Send a noteboard - 11/11/2010 11:57:02 AM
1. Second chance in as many days to link to Tom Waits, this time reading Bukowski. Love this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=va1t6a0zCkQ

I already have that one added to my favourites! What was the other Waits video?

Dos. If you love Bukowski, they have this DVD of the last poetry reading he ever did, I saw it a couple of months ago and it's cool. When I read his "Should I get Married?" (or whatever the title is) poem, I said to myself: this is a man who could understand me. It's on Netflix, I think, but I'm not sure if you have Netflix over in Finsweenetherway.

Hm, if we don't have Netflix, we've got something similar. I prefer to steal stuff, though. What's it called? I want it! I have this thing called 90 Minutes in Hell (I think) but that sounds very old and is only audio. I like listening to him stumble drunkenly through his own poetry.

(Finsweenetherwayan is officially my new nationality.)

they say he slept in the bushes. I guess that's where he
died. he's not around any
more.

there was the big fat blond whore
who kept touching him for luck, and
laughing.

nobody had any luck. the whore is gone
too.

I guess nothing ever works for us. we're fools, of course -

bucking the inside plus a 15 percent take,
but how are you going to tell a dreamer
there's a 15 percent take on the
dream? he'll just laugh and say,
is that all?

I miss those
sparks.

(i hang my head against the white
refrigerator and want to scream like
the last weeping of man forever
but I AM BIGGER THAN THE MOUNTAINS)
"All the worlds are in the sky
and some of them keep me from falling."

Umm...I care? - 09/11/2010 08:42:55 PM 1131 Views
Because you should care about being intelligent, rather than appearing to be intelligent. - 09/11/2010 10:32:04 PM 1163 Views
Again, why would I care? - 09/11/2010 10:38:21 PM 1175 Views
No one can make you care about being decent, or intelligent, or a viable member of the community. - 09/11/2010 10:41:34 PM 1094 Views
I think it's rather pointless, to be honest. - 09/11/2010 10:54:17 PM 1128 Views
Then why are you even here? - 09/11/2010 10:59:49 PM 1084 Views
I don't know. I thought I'd see how long I could string you along. - 09/11/2010 11:00:37 PM 1015 Views
You're the one who doesn't care. - 09/11/2010 11:02:11 PM 1055 Views
I care only as much as I care. What others think is irrelevant to that. - 09/11/2010 11:04:15 PM 1061 Views
But you're still responding to me. - 09/11/2010 11:05:37 PM 1120 Views

I'm not going to. I find this entertaining. - 09/11/2010 11:12:27 PM 1117 Views
I do as well. It's fun pretending to be an asshole, I'll admit. - 09/11/2010 11:17:34 PM 1089 Views
