Mine are not very consistent. rebelaessedai Send a noteboard - 16/09/2009 01:44:02 AM

1 - Approximately how many books do you read in the average month?

Between 0 and 10, I think.
2 - Of those books, what ratio would be Sci-fi/Fantasy compared with Not SFF? (Ie SFF:NotSFF)

Uh, mostly 1:0. :P
3 - (with credit to Tom) Which of these do you read:

Fantasy

A lot.
Sci-fi

A lot.
Historical Fiction

Once or twice in my life.
Classics

As little as possible, unless I find other reason to.
Thrillers

...?
Crime/Mystery

No.
Other fiction stuff (like Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro etc)

Um.
Non-fiction

Rarely, though I do have more than I used to- which was none. Now I have books about science and medicine and... cats. :P
Graphic Novels

I've read one and don't particularly like the medium.
Manga

Never ever ever ever.
Plays

Nope.
Poetry

Not really, no.
Short stories (please specify what genre they might belong to)

I usually don't like them. What I will read though is any short story written by Catherine Asaro or Storm Constantine, Ted Chiang's stuff, or Stephen King's.
Magazines

If I'm bored and they're around.
Newspapers

Usually just the crosswords, unless there's an interesting sports story, sometimes opinion.
4 - Do you read every day?

No- I'm very inconsistent with reading every day, finishing books, picking new books to read, etc.
5 - Do you find it easy to discuss the books you read?

I don't see why I wouldn't. :P
5a - If not, do you know what might make it easier?

Uh, more people reading the same stuff.
6 - Do you buy books as soon as they are published?

Rarely. There are so many old jems that I want to find, so unless it's something I'm really looking forward to like aDwD, no.
7 - What do you like to see in reviews?

Something that's not horribly long.
Atheism is a religion like abstinence is a sex position. - Bill Maher
