I actually have read half a book in just a few short days. j-whitt987 Send a noteboard - 16/12/2010 01:55:40 AM
In the north it's a great time to snuggle up inside with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate.

In the south it's the start of long summer days, lying on the grass with a good book and a glass of iced tea.

In the middle it's probably always a good time for reading so there are no excuses.

So. What are your book plans this month?

Nothing extremely long. It's a book called "The Meaning of Star Trek" written by Thomas Richards. It has great insights to the Star Trek universe. It's a little dated (published in '97 before Voyager and DS9 finished), and he has minor facts wrong (i.e. he said the Borg flew away from Earth at the end of The Best of Both Worlds instead of the Cube exploding), but it is a good read and it will help understand the universe that is shown on through the experiences of the starship Enterprise.
Kirk: Spock, you want to know something? Everybody’s human.
Spock: I find that remark…insulting.
