Hey Rafonauts

A few questions for you on your reading habits.

1 - Approximately how many books do you read in the average month?


Around seven or eight, in the summer. Only two or three once school starts, though. So, a nice round average of five?

2 - Of those books, what ratio would be Sci-fi/Fantasy compared with Not SFF? (Ie SFF:NotSFF)


Whatever comes my way, for the most part. More sci-fi/fantasy than any other particular gender, but not to the exclusion of all else.

3 - (with credit to Tom) Which of these do you read:


Fantasy - Yes.
Sci-fi - Yes.
Historical Fiction - Yes.
Classics - Yes.
Thrillers - occasionally
Crime/Mystery - rarely
Other fiction stuff (like Ian McEwan, Kazuo Ishiguro etc) - Yes.
Non-fiction - Rarely.
Graphic Novels - Well, Sandman.
Manga - No.
Plays - Rarely.
Poetry - Occasionally.
Short stories (please specify what genre they might belong to) - I'm rather a fan of short stories.
Magazines - Occasionally.
Newspapers - Occasionally.

4 - Do you read every day?


Depends on scheduling, homework, obligations, etc.

5 - Do you find it easy to discuss the books you read?


Fairly easy, but I'm not a particularly analytical reader. Discussion is more based on likes/dislikes.

5a - If not, do you know what might make it easier?


Time, learnin'.

6 - Do you buy books as soon as they are published?


Occasionally on purpose, sometimes by accident, mostly, no.

7 - What do you like to see in reviews?


Something that will make me think that book is worthwhile.
