But i really don't like this book, it was one of the very very few assigned reading books i never actually finished in school. I hate reading dialects ... Nothing but pages and pages of it and tom sawyer's malevolent stupidity ...
Again, THAT WAS THE POINT. Clemmens was sending up the romanticized novel conventions from which Sawyer drew his inspiration, such as the work of Walter Scott and the like.
