The usual stance about taking drugs to appreciate the story is sort of annoying at this point -- unless someone likes taking acid and reading any other sort of literature there is no real reason to do so with Carroll. He was a mathematician and the book probably has more to do with the impossibility of reconciling the abstract math that was being developed in his day with logic or the experiential world than it does any sort of altered state brought on by chemicals.


I didn't mean that you have to take drugs to enjoy it. Just that the look reminds me of all the times on TV/in movies where someone does some drugs and it shows a bunch of crazy shit happening. Like hallucinations and crap like that.
