The big problem with Dracula is that it's an epistolary novel.

Most people don't like that format (myself included) and so it makes the book slightly more irritating than it would otherwise have been.
To a certain extent, the book is more of a historical artifact. It was a massive innovation at the time and gave rise to an entire genre, but because the genre has gone so far (actually, genres), it can sometimes be unsatisfying. I still enjoyed it, but I can see how others would not.

Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

There's really only one high fantasy classic, no? Or two, if you count the Silm separately. *NM*

You can't love all of the classics, but it's not like it's a genre of its own that you can dislike.

The Swiss Family Robinson is hardly a "classic", unless by "classic" you mean "old".

A lot of "classics" need proper context to be appreciated
