Maybe I'm being pessimistic but he's still not done. He's almost been done for years. I'm saying it won't come out till later.


Bantam needed a final date as in a few weeks they are rolling out a huge marketing campaign for ADWD and the new-look US editions of the existing books, including TV ads, costing a huge sum of money. Getting the date wrong would be a very expensive mistake for them.

My information is that Martin is currently putting the final touches to the very last two chapters, and could take another month to finish them and it would still hit the July date.
