Sitcoms have very low production costs, so it isn't surprising they go on for a long time. Actual shows virtually never go past six seasons.


That's a good point, and I'm not saying there are no problems, but I don't think it's impossible. The money is there to be made (assuming asoif succeeds) in the fantasy genre. Wot would be the logical direction then.
