The "copying Jordan" thing obviously holds no water- the first couple of books have a ton of similar details (chosen one, magic based on gender, special sword, etc) but one could also say they're just fantasy cliches that each author tried to put his spin on.

I am curious as to why you think Book 6 was so amazing- that was Soul of the Fire, with the chimes, "chicken that is not a chicken," and the racist country, right? And also Kahlan has a convenient miscarriage at the end? (Well, not racism, wasn't it's a hair color thing? Anyway)
