I have heard this from many people. Beqi Send a noteboard - 02/08/2011 07:06:15 PM
It was that special kind of awful, where you love reading it just to see what happens next. But, I kept buying them, so I guess he's being pretentious and condescending all the way to the bank.

My two biggest issues were that Richard and Kahlan were huge Mary Sues, and that it rarely felt like there was a coherent overarching plot- the plotlines didn't flow naturally into each other, and whenever one referenced another, it always felt awkward (how out of place did the Boxes of Orden feel in the end of the series?)

They read it all just to finish it. They didn't like it. They thought the author was pompously horrible. But they gave him their money again and again. Very odd. Will you read his new book about the same characters?
