Along with The Dark is Rising Sequence they're easily my favourite childhood books.
I never read the Dark is Rising, but I have heard good things about it. I guess I'll have to put it on my list! Short, easy to read books might be better for me right now anyway what with school and everything ...
And it's not hold-over nostalgia- they're just really enjoyable books.
