Which is something I'm ok with. After all, the strength of the series is in the characters.

I found that things really start picking up from book 3, then again from about book 8 (going from an impaired memory here).


I figured they would - and I agree that the strength is the characters, not to mention the setting. Butcher does a good job world-building.

Are you telling me the events this far have been slow? Excellent.
