In order to understand the type of books I received/ordered with Christmas money, it might be best to see the photo in the link below.

I received five Library of America editions on Christmas Eve (my immediate family gives presents then) and a $25 Amazon gift card and $150 in cash, all of which is funneled into buying six more Library of America editions, a Persian coursebook, a Persian-English dictionary, and a bilingual edition of Hafiz/Hafez's poetry. Not too bad.

There were other gifts, but those were the main ones.
