Hah, those things at the end of each Dresden paperback bug me, too

And I actually kind of like Codex Alara. Definitely not as strong as Dresden, but it's entertaining.
I can't really refute most of DK's complaints, as I haven't read it very recently, but I will object to the magic criticism.
It's not too tough to understand- and a bit of fuzziness or mystery doesn't really hurt a magic system, anyway. Not everyone is Brandon Sanderson, after all.
Even Dresden File's magic isn't really that well explained. They talk a lot about it, of course, but it really tends to just boil down to "Focus on it hard enough, and it'll work."

I amuse myself.
Kinda shocked/surprised concerning one Jim Butcher

I couldn't get into it. What's worse is the Codex Alera write-up at the end of each Dresden Book

I don't think that books should be judged against standards they're clearly not meant to meet.
