1)Which should I read?

2)Why?

3)Have you read The Belgariad?

4)Have you read The RuneLords?

Maybe after reading great series like a Song of Ice and Fire (by George RR Martin) and Steven Erikson's the Malazan book of the Fallen, I've been spoiled but I'd stay the hell away from David Farland's "The RuneLords" if I were you. Ridicolusly overpowered and boring main characters along with f****d up world building and battle descriptions. I couldn't get through one of those stinkers.

"The Belgariad", while containing a lot of clichés and being more of a YA series, is at least hilarious thanks to the dialog and interactions between the characters.
