Too many books Tom Send a noteboard - 02/09/2012 12:30:48 AM
1. Ungeduld des Herzens by Stefan Zweig (400/448 pages done)
2. Italia del Risorgimento by Indro Montanelli (52/544 pages done)
3. Purgatorio by Dante (not close by but I'm about six cantos in)
4. Chartreuse de Parme by Stendhal (366/610 pages done)
5. The Guns of August by Barbara Tuchman (250/475 pages done)

I try to never be reading more than 2 books at a time but I went on vacation so the first three were augmented by the last two (I took a paperback copy of book 4 with me to the pool every day, and I bought book 5, along with The Proud Tower, which I already completed, while I was there).

I'm finishing Zweig this weekend hopefully, and Stendhal and Tuchman are my next priorities, and after that I'll return to Italian (I already finished Inferno but will not list it or review it until I finish the whole Divine Comedy; other than the books listed, I only want to make sure I read Paradiso and Il Cimitero di Praga by Umberto Eco for my Italian reading this year).
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius

Ummaka qinnassa nīk!
