First, is every single woman in the series breath-takingly beautiful? It's not a big deal, obviously, but it kinda gets annoying every time Harry runs into a woman and he starts going off about how unearthly her beauty is etc.

Secondly, since I haven't read a Dresden book since Ghost Story came out, I had forgotten had long winded Harry's internal monologue can be. He can be in the middle of a conversation, start rumminating about a particular point, and come back to the conversation 2 pages later. Since this is no longer a episodic series, most readers won't be starting with this book, so why are the same old things explained again and again? I noticed that he twice explained soulfire in this book (did Butcher forget he already covered that?). Also, who is Harry talking to? I get it's the first person perspective, but sometimes it feels like Butcher is breaking the fourth wall.
