I think some of the tendency can be blamed on aMoL Isaac Send a noteboard - 05/12/2012 07:23:45 PM
Sanderson's been stuck for some years now writing someone else's grand finale and his big series before that was Mistborn which doesn't suffer much from the cited problem. Sanderson really likes to build his worlds and magic systems and he can't do that at all in WoT nor does he really have the ability while he's writing it to really buckle down on one story so I figure he's probably venting via novella, so to speak. So I think when WoT is truly totally done, tours and all, we can expect some better quality to start returning.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

Although there are uneven moments, I think his work accomplishes a shade more than the other two - 20/11/2012 06:11:34 AM 1021 Views

I don't think it's very accurate to call Dance with Dragons a "CoT". - 20/11/2012 07:53:59 PM 1025 Views
