I like it when prologues are useful, not just there because it's the Done Thing. So this was good.
I like the glimpses we get of the world of the book, and of the major players.
There are some nice ideas - Capa Basari's role in the city, for example - and you can tell it's not going to be a happy-go-lucky story. It's a nice set up for the rest of the book, I think.
