View original postWeird book. Very American, so it tells me. Maybe it is, but so far it's all about people being crazy and overreacting (over-acting?)... if I'm right, I think I've just reached the point where it turns a corner and starts to gain some depth. As though it's been facetious on purpose to be able to prove something later.
And yes, I was right. The basic gist of the story is that shit sometimes snowballs when one isn't paying attention to the decisions one is making. And that one then needs to make a choice to take things seriously and step up. It's a pretty fun ride - I liked the writing, and I liked the characters I was supposed to like.
