It's now St. Lydia Purpuraria's feast day. What the hell are you reading for August? Larry Send a noteboard - 03/08/2013 11:24:11 PM

I often don't have time these days for listing reads, especially when I'm back to working two jobs for 12-13 hours/day, but seeing how it's now the evening of August 3rd and no post has been made, here ya go.

The books around me are:

NoViolet Bulawayo's Booker-longlisted We Need New Names

Matt Bell, In the House upon the Dirt Between the Lake and the Woods

Giacomo Leopardi's Zibaldone (in both Italian and English; the English is just over 2500 print pages, the Italian has almost 4000 e-book pages on my iPad)

Jack Whyte, Robert the Bruce

Claude Simon, The Acacia

Colum McCann, TransAtlantic (another Booker-longlisted title)
