That does, indeed, sound quite hilarious. ;) And I agree with you about the Nazis, and about how we search for "absolute" evil in a world where there is none. Why people feel a need to search for that, I don't know. I'm not a violent person myself, so I don't really understand that viewpoint.
And I think fantasy has been a wish-fulfillment mechanism all along. As brilliant as Tolkien is, you'll notice his Christian ideology of us versus them is very prevalent. Even people leaning to the other side of the spectrum, ie Phillip Pullman, have that wish fulfillment present in their stories as well.
